We strive to ship within one business day (Tuesday thru Friday) after the order is placed. You can expect an email with the tracking information so you will know when it will be at your doorstep.
We ship all orders from Rapid City, South Dakota in the United States.
Note about pre-orders
If you order contains products that are pre-orders, we will ship your entire order once it is complete, so if you wish something sooner please put it on a separate order.

Our shipping rates are determined during the checkout based on the dollar amount of your order.

- Unexpected delays due to weather or carrier issues can happen and are out of our control. We appreciate your understanding!
- All delivery times are based on carrier estimates of delivery and cannot be guaranteed by The Sewing Center.
Any return requests must be pre-authorized. Contact The Sewing Center for pre-authorization by calling 605-348-1010 or by emailing your detailed information including your name, phone number and reason for the return to email@example.com.
All returned items must be in original packaging, unused and 100% smoke-free. Items not meeting one or more of these criteria will not be refunded. Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. To complete your return, we may require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned:
- Gift Cards
- Downloadable Digital Products
- Cut Fabric
- Sale Items
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)
- Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
- Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at email@example.com and wait for further instructions.
This rarely happens but unforeseen events such as natural disasters and accidents do happen in the mail. If you received your order and something has been damaged, we will replace it for free. Simply contact us and we will send you a shipping label to send it back. We send the replacement back to you at no additional cost. Unfortunately, sometimes items do go out of stock in which case we are happy to exchange it to a similar item or refund you for the purchase.
Shipping a Return
To return your product, you should mail your product to: The Sewing Center, 120 Knollwood Drive, Rapid City, SD 57701
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary. If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
