As fresh as the air after rain, Lisa Audit’s collection “Bohemian Blue” asks that you sit still, breathe, relax. This gentle group of four is perfect on its own, and, perfect as support for the layer cake.

The four pieces from the collection “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” offer a surprising color change-up for a winter theme. Look closely and the birds are cardinals; the flowers, poinsettias.
Martina – the 3″x6″ rectangles show off small prints; the strip piecing makes for quick completion!
These two collections, because of their scale and light, medium, medium-dark, and dark hues, shine in patterns like Martina.

“Winter Frost” illustrates Sara Boccaccini Meadows’ distinct, “quirky” style. Although her inspiration for this collection may not be the fictional Three Pines of Louise Penny, it does come from “nature and the tiny details in her everyday surroundings.”
Show off focal fabrics in a “big” way with Villa Rosa Designs’ Early Dawn.
So as to fit into the theme of this blog, from this idyllic collection, three pieces have been selected and paired with a Chalk and Charcoal basic from Robert Kaufman. A pattern such as Early Dawn, with its larger-scale squares of 9 1/2″ for the main print, marries well with this grouping.

Lastly, (bearing in mind that two is the square root of four,) the four “Floral Essence” ombres shown here are exquisite in their design and rich color.
