Class Dates:

Thursdays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
March 13, 20, 27, and April 3

Supply List:

  • Invasion Pattern- available at The Sewing Center
  • 5- 1 yd cuts of fabric, according to pattern.
  • 1/2 yd fabric for binding
  • Rotary Cutting mat, rotary cutter and 6X24 ruler
  • 1/4″ foot for piecing
  • 50 weight cotton thread for piecing- neutral color like grey or tan
  • Walking foot for quilting and putting on binding
  • 120″ measuring tape for putting on borders
  • pins- patchwork length
  • Size 1 curved basitng pins for basting quilt top to batting and backing ( at least 200 )
  • Sewing machine in good working order
  • * Basic Sewing Supplies

Notes:

  • We will talk about batting and backing in class- so suggest waiting to purchase these supplies.
  • Binding will be a separate optional class.
  • You need nothing done ahead of time- unless you want to pre-wash your fabrics, although it isn’t necessary. If you do prewash please refrain from using highly scented detergents, or dryer sheets.
