Laura Muir, a multi-media artist as well as designer for Moda, created her collection Sunshine Soul with “…one thought in mind… having a Sunshine Soul means you radiate positivity like the rays of the sun and, in turn, you light up those who surround you.”
Awash in watercolors, the pieces in this collection seem both playful and Zen-like in their connection to nature. Beautiful designs, textures, and a variety of scale make this line suitable for nearly every quilt pattern imaginable.
That said, the piece(s) de resistance (OK, that is really subjective) are the stripes. Whether added to a quilt or home decor endeavor, a good stripe can interject movement, complement a floral, and add an element of whimsy. So referencing, AGAIN, Donna Robertson of the many 3 yd quilt books, find several patterns that make using stripes fuss-free – ie. no matching… yea!
With the many delightful pieces from which to choose, you can create joy and positivity effortlessly.
