Stabilizer Basics is free to those who have purchased any brand of embroidery machine from The Sewing Center. Class will cover the types of stabilizers and their uses. How to determine what kind and how much stabilizer to use for various fabrics/techniques. Lots of examples are shown and there is plenty of time for questions. Have some things you've embroidered that didn't turn out as you would like? Bring them to class to discuss how to fix/improve your stabilization methods.
Learn the art of machine quilting on your domestic machine through this hands-on class. Machine Quilting Basics will cover echo, cross hatching, stitch-in-the-ditch, decorative, and free-motion quilting. Discussion of threads, needles, and layering and basting a quilt top for home-machine quilting will be included in the class. This is a two day class.
Serger Basics is for those who purchased a serger from The Sewing Center. Class will cover all of the features of your machine and how/when to adjust them. You will also learn how to serge inner and outer curves and corners.

Not your traditional lone star. Using Judy Martin's comprehensive approach to strip-pieced lone stars will give you new confidence to make lone stars. It's innovative designs will provide ample inspiration; and the accurate patterns and how-to information will guide you every step of the way as you create your own singular star quilt. This is a two day class.
